Being sexy in Sri Lanka

Even though being a very hot (in every way) country in the Indian sub-continent, Sri Lankans still prefer to cover themselves up with layers of restrictive clothing, rather than to let it all hang out and let their bodies breath. And even though having ranked consistently within the top 10 list of countries who search the internet for sex, we are still afraid to even hold hands of a person we feel attached to, in public. Sri Lankans are probably one of the horniest bunch of people in the world (anyone who has known one closely would testify to this), yet are oppressed by both misunderstood cultural and religious stigmas to curb and repress their sexual identities. When will this beautiful country and its people be blessed with the day when one could walk in one of our truly breathtaking beaches totally nude and free? When will we be free to not only love, but share that love, with whoever we want? I dream of such a day, and know that there are millions of others who do the same, both here and abroad, and so know that we can enjoy and revel in such a blessed day together!
