German U-boats have slipped beneath the waves of the Florida coast, never to be seen again. Thousands of servicemen and women spent time in Palm Beach because of World War II, and many would return after the war and bringing their sweethearts. The 1940 pre-war population of Palm Beach County, nearly 80,000, would grow 50% by 1950 and escalate quickly from there. Prosperity has returned to Palm Beach and you are invited! Hosted at the very height of the Palm Beach social season, the accommodations for this luxury weekendare provided at a5-star hotel on the island of Palm Beach.
