I was in Austin for an all too brief visit for The Naked bike Ride on 6/11. After arriving at the airport Friday and getting the rental car I went straight to Hippie Hollow. It did not disappoint. What a great place! The whole park except the parking lot is clothing optional (nude for me) Negotiating the rocks to get to the water was a bit of a chore, but that is kind of what makes it unique. One thing I did notice is that even though it was hot and sunny out (103) and I got there around noon and stayed for 2 hours it did not seem uncomfortable. Since everything was rock, no sand the surface did not get hot like the sand at the South Florida beaches does.
I went back Saturday around noon again until 2:30.
On both days I met and chatted with several people. Everyone there was so nice and sociable.
Anyone thinking of visiting Austin and Hippie hollow I would highly recommend it. I hope to be back
