  I know that this is not the right platform for political comment but I have to post to the Intelligent Men and Intelligent Women groups how close the 2016 race was. Clinton won 228 and Trump won 279 of the electoral college. Many of us have a hard time imagining this outcome. I hope Trump learns how to listen to other people and take good advice especially if it comes from a woman.

  I think Trump said it will be like Brexit x3. After the UK Brexit vote someone wrote thatThe UK and USA are having a contest as to who can mess up their economy the most. The Brits are (were) in the lead but the Americans have the Trump card. That card has now been played. The UK pond has plummeted in value against other currencies. Will the US dollar do the same? Actually the plummeting pound may have saved the UK economy by making our exports cheaper. I guess the USA is big enough to be self sufficient. So exchange rates for foreign currencies won't matter. But will the USA remain the leading world power or will China take over?
