After only having seen them on women I was sure that they would be very uncomfortable. Then, at my wife's suggestion, I bought one for myself. Wow! Instead of discomfort I found that string in the back to be very comfortable.

JROct 10, 2025For years, strings and jock straps is all I wear. And I mean always, including at work, under my uniform. My colleagues and customers have no clue. Very comfortable, and I feel sexy in them.

@ArizonaYardArt: You are correct. Mine isn't really a string it is simply a very narrow cloth band seamed to be double thickness. Still very small and narrow enough to disappear in there.

Sunnyside_SteveOct 14, 2025I figured that, with their popularity, they can't be all bad and found them okay, as long as they're not too tight. The Hom Fredy, with a stretchy-but-thin string could start to irritate if worn for too long. I still have some Homs but dont mind a wider string or a thong with, say 3/4" of fabric and 1/4" elastic on both sides. I've now barely worn anything else for perhaps 20 years.
