Paradise Lake

I'm headed to Paradise Lake north of Tampa as a solo male, and I'm thinking of spending the night rather than leave early evening as I've done on my two previous trips. Any advice? Are reservations necessary at this time of year? I'll likely be there March 17 (I think the St. Patrick's Day party is the 18th, but I plan to leave before lunch).

I'm not going to swing (no, really), so is it a scene I should avoid after dark as a man alone?
