  I had been to the River`s Edge a couple of times for a day trip, but this trip was my first time overnight camping. Got there Friday night and stayed until about noon on Sunday. As one guy told me at the pool on Saturday AM, "If you`re not having fun, it`s your own damn fault!" The new owners are doing a lot to improve the place, and the change in attitude is evident. Friday night there was a meet and greet, which was great for meeting new people. The vast majority of the men were friendly. Some were there with partners, others obviously cruising, and it was all good. I enjoyed a lot…

  Pros: Friendly crowd, nice new hot tub

  Cons: Like anywhere else, the crowd can vary considerably.

  Arrived Thursday, 10/3/13 around 3pm and stayed till Sunday, 10/6/13 & left around 9:30am. Hardly anyone there when I arrived. The cabins were pretty run down with no indoor plumbing; use communal shower/toilets. People started showing up late Friday PM. The restaurant was closed. Luckily I met a guy who invited me to dinner Friday night and we became friends. Unfortunately, he had a heart condition and couldn`t get it up. Heard that the guy that owned it died & now his kids run it but they`re not gay; running it for the money but were real friendly & helpful. Weather was nice &amp…

  Pros: People friendly once you know them; otherwise stand-offish. Couples mostly.

  Cons: Run down dingy cabins, cold, no sink/toilet. Don`t go during off season. Think I paid $75/nite!
