My favorites tend to be Action, Mystery and Science Fiction, but they need to have a good plot/story, not just fighting/war or special effects. ... If all they have are spec fx ... it better be a fun ride :-) - - A couple of suggestions are. . . #1. CONTACT - A fictional story with some real people and real science. and #2. SOURCE CODE. . . A fictional story which might suggest the question "What IF" or maybe "Could that be possible? And keep in mind, many impossible concepts from the past, are now commonplace.
